Beckham is a complete clown – a handsome young lad bred by Heather Turner of Locheil Kennels in Scotland. I have long admired Heather’s dogs and was fortunate to be offered the male pick of a fabulous litter. There are so many nice dogs in his pedigree, first and foremost Locheil Look North “Nap”, the only full Ch ever in the United Kingdom. Beckham has many of my favorite Border Collies in his pedigree, including Sh Ch Viber Travelling Matt From Corinlea JW, Multi Ch Borderfame Heart N Soul , Int Sup Ch Wisp, Sh Ch NZ Ch Clan-Abby Blue Aberdoone , and Sh Ch Brooksbid Country Classic. Beckham finished his Championship at the age of 11 months with two 5 point majors, a 4 point major, and 2 points. He made the dog cut both days at the 2008 BCSA Nationals at age 16 months and the judge on Saturday commented that he “exudes breed type”. There is a lot of proven herding ability in his pedigree and I have high hopes for Becks on the trial field. We are currently training for agility and herding, and this cracking collie will return to the show ring once he matures.
