| New Puppies: 01/11/09 Beckham x Puck |
||||||
| There are five female puppies in the litter. They have a distinguished pedigree combining some of my favorite lines from England and Scotland, and their predecessors have been remarkable herding dogs, beloved pets, and successful show dogs. The hip history on the litter is well documented and solid, and the puppies are clear by parentage of CEA/CH, CL, and TNS. These puppies were nurtured by constant socialization, raucous puppy play, and the oversight of benevolent older dogs. I expect this litter to excel in all kinds of activities and to have reliable, steady dispositions. The girls have been placed in homes that will do conformation, herding, agility, and ancient human remains detection work. They are most of all beloved pets that are cherished by their families. | Sire: Beckham |

| Sire of the current litter is Beckham (Ch Locheil Dare Devil PT JAM), a handsome dog I brought home from Scotland as a puppy. As an adolescent, he is part clown, part serious worker. He likes to do things right, and his favorite games are stealthily creeping up on birds at the beach or climbing the giant cork oak tree in our yard like a mountain lion. He is mischievious and bold, affectionate and driven. Beckham is currently training for herding and agility and I hope to trial with him this summer. He is a fast, strong dog with level topline, traditional type, and exceptional balance and structure. He will be shown as a conformation special when he matures. Dam of the litter is Puck (DC Sun Mtn's Midsummer Night's Dream HSBs, HXAsd, AX, AXJ, OF, RN). Puck is my precious, greatly accomplished heart dog - sensitive, kind, willing to turn herself inside out for me. She is a versatile champion, capable in many venues and only limited by our time and my experience. She is sweet to strangers, gentle with people of all ages, and ready to train or compete at the drop of a hat. She competes most actively in herding and agility, and we only wish sheep and acreage were easier to get to on the central coast of California. |
